Natalie Shaw BA (Hons) Dance, RAD Teaching Certificate, AISTD, ALAM, RSA (School Principal & Teacher of Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Tap & Drama)

Natalie’s early training was with Miss Ruth French at the RAD, Miss Maria Fay at the London School of Contemporary Dance and the schools of Dame Merle Park and Mrs Bette Bayliss. From the age of 16 she trained full-time at Bush Davies School of Theatre Arts where she achieved her Major Examinations in Dance and Drama as well as A’Levels in English, Art with History of Art and Sociology. She went on to attain an honours degree from West Sussex in Dance and Related Arts. After a couple of years of performing professionally and working in the Film Industry, Natalie started teaching at Heathfield and has taught a variety of subjects including Dance GCSE, Creative Dance, Ballet, Modern, Tap, Drama GCSE, LAMDA and Aerobics. She has coordinated the Extra Dance and Drama since 1991. The Natalie Vinson School of Dance opened in 1992 and has grown considerably over the last decade. Over 400 children currently attend classes each week! Natalie has choreographed and performed in shows both professionally and at local level. Pupils from the Natalie Vinson School of Dance have raised over £10,000 for charity and many have had the opportunity to perform in the West End. When she is not teaching or running the school, Natalie enjoys spending time with her family, travelling, yoga and the occasional game of tennis!!
