Pupils at Longacre follow the LAMDA syllabus and have the opportunity to take exams in Verse and Prose, Acting, Devised Performance, Mime, Spoken English and Reading for Performance from the Introductory Level. LAMDA examinations are held annually.

AIMS

To increase confidence (both as a life-skill and in performance)

To improve communication skills

To develop stagecraft skills

To improve physical and vocal skills

To promote an interest in theatre

To foster an appreciation of literature, poetry and drama

To prepare for LAMDA examinations

LESSONS CAN BE ARRANGED

• Individually (Pupils in Years 3-6 only )
• In Pairs (subject to numbers) (Pupils in Years 3-6 only)
• In Groups (3-6 pupils) (Pupils in all Years 1-6)

Lessons take place during the normal school day and the timetable is arranged to accommodate this.
