Pupils have the opportunity to perform in the school shows/events. December 2007 - 225 children (aged 3-18 years) took part in three performances of “Encore!”, at the Camberley Theatre, as part of the 15th Birthday Celebrations. The school has raised over £1500 in the last 6 months through its two different shows . The money has been divided between the Thames Hospicecare, the Ian Goodchild Centre, Children in Crisis and CLIC Sargent. See the January 2008 Newsletter for more information. "In the Spotlight" - in July 2007 75 girls and boys showcased their Dance GCSE and LAMDA Drama/Musical Theatre examination work at the Camberley Theatre. The production was hosted by Laura Urquhart and also featured a number of specially choreographed dance routines. £254 was raised for the Children's Cancer Charity CLIC Sargent. Click here for photos. In 2002 the students performed a ballet version of "Peter Pan" and a variety show called "That's Entertainment". Over £4500 was raised for various charities. The shows in May 2000 raised nearly £4000 for The Paul Bevan Cancer Day Hospice in Ascot and Children in Crisis. In recent years pupils have performed at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, Her Majesty's Theatre, West End, The Wilde Theatre, Bracknell and the New Victoria Theatre in Woking. Emma Hammond and Imogen Wood successfully auditioned for the English Youth Ballet Company and performed with them in August 2000 and Mach 2003 respectively. |
