The Natalie Vinson School of Dance and Drama opened in 1992 and currently has over 400 students. The school offers a range of classes in Ballet, Tap, Modern, Jazz, Drama and GCSE Dance throughout the week and on Saturdays for children aged 2 –18, plus classes in Tap and Jazz for Adults. Classes are held at excellent facilities in Ascot at The Marist.

Since September 2002 The Natalie Vinson School of Dance and Drama has also coordinated the Extra Dance and Drama Classes for the Full-Time Boarders at Heathfield, Ascot. Classes are available in Ballet, Tap, Modern, Street Jazz, Aerobics, GCSE Dance, Yoga, Singing, Piano Tuition and Drama. Natalie has taught at Heathfield since 1991 and the numbers taking Extra Curricular Performing Arts classes has grown considerably with over 70% of the girls now receiving weekly lessons.

The school’s vision is to bring out the best in every pupil, helping them to gain confidence, coordination, musicality and poise; whilst enabling them to enjoy the thrill of performance, the satisfaction of achieving goals and the combination of fun and discipline both inherent in the world of dance and drama.
Pupils are offered the opportunity to enter examinations conducted by the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD), the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance (ISTD) and the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA). Examinations are always optional.

The school employs over 16 teachers with proven experience and examination success in their field. Guest teachers offer special workshops throughout the year.
In recent years over 100 senior pupils have performed in Charity Galas in the West End.
All children are encouraged to perform in the schools’ charity shows, which have raised over £10,000 since May 2000.
